Client: AutoStore
Year: 2018
Tendril invited Worship to co-direct a brand film for AutoStore, a Norwegian robotics company leading the field of storage automation.
Encompassing production design, creative direction, and live-action direction, Worship devised a visual language and graphic world aligned to the elegant futurism of the AutoStore brand.
–
–
AutoStore transforms traditional warehouses into automated cube storage systems. To bring the grid to life, we sought inspiration in sorting and pathfinding algorithms, procedural grids, and spatial subdivision techniques.
–
–
The command center acts as the nucleus of the AutoStore grid, connecting the system to the client and enabling the retrieval of goods. A custom interface and set was designed to capture all interactions on camera, eliminating the need for post-production.
–
The AutoStore R5 is the force behind the grid: an epitome of robotics engineering. Each element of the robot was carefully extracted from the original blueprint and replicated by Tendril’s VFX team.
–
–
An army of R5s operate on top of the grid, directed by orders derived from the command center. Moving with utmost precision and deftness, each robot delivers the goods to the operator for pickup and processing.
